You are expected to arrive at the OPE for your registration on the appointed dates and times as listed below.

This appointment system is mandatory for all applicants.

Beginning 23 Jan 2009, rescheduling an appointment is only possible if you have a valid reason and can provide supporting documentation. Requests to reschedule must be sent to arrival@hias-vienna.at and a determination will be made.

We retain the right to offer what appointments we have available.

The arrival@hias-vienna.at email is the only way to request a change of appointment date. The OPE cannot respond to any other inquiries sent to the above email address aside from appointment scheduling. The OPE cannot give information by phone about the appointments.  

Please always include your case number and full name in your email to arrival@hias-vienna.at.

Please note that the appointments below are not final and are subject to change.  As the list is continuously updated, it is your responsibility to keep yourself updated with any changes made to your appointments.

Please make sure you bring all of the following ORIGINAL documents as well as full and notarized English translations of these documents with you to Vienna, where you will have to provide them to the OPE:    

• On registration day at the OPE, all applicants are required to provide the OPE with documentation regarding all medical conditions, past or present. Please collect all medical papers (in Farsi and/or English) of past and current illnesses, treatments and surgeries, as well as prepare a complete list (in English language) of all medication currently administered.

  Alternatively, you may also bring your medication with you to your registration. Only by providing this information on registration day, OPE staff will be able to determine and implement your particular processing needs. Thank you for your cooperation.

   

• All current and expired passports (no translation needed)

• All other residency documents you have ever held (translated into English, if original is in language other than English)

• Shenasnameh (Farsi & English)

• Melli Card (Farsi & English)

• Military Discharge Card or Military Exemption Card (Farsi & English)

• Religious Membership documents (original language & English)

• Civil Marriage certificate (Farsi & English)

• Religious Marriage certificate (original language & English)

• Additional documents (court, work, etc.) pertaining to your refugee claims (original & English)  

• Divorce certificates for all previous marriages (Farsi & English)

• Death certificates for any deceased spouses (Farsi & English)

• Notarized letter of Consent from spouse in Iran to take minor child to USA, if applicable (Farsi & English)

Your processing will be delayed if you cannot provide these documents upon registration at the Vienna OPE. Please try to ensure that all English translations of above documents are consistent in their transliteration of all names and birth date conversions from the Farsi originals into the English translations. If spellings of names and dates of birth are not consistent, delays will result.  We advise making sure the English translation spelling of your name and birth dates matches your current passport, which is considered your primary form of identification for the program.
